Service/Oil changes

It is recommended to use only oils approved for your engine according to the table below. Services should be performed at the recommended intervals to optimize your engines performance throughout its service life.




9-3 and 9-5 with 4-cyl and 6-cyl petrol engine

Long Life engine oil that is approved in accordance with GM-LL-A-025 specifications with the recommended viscosities :

0w-30 or 0w-40 (for lower mileage cars)

5w-30 or 5w-40 (for higher mileage cars)




9-3 and 9-5 1.9TiD engine

Long Life engine oil that is approved in accordance with GM-LL-B-025 specifications with the recommended viscosities :

0w-30 or 0w-40 (for lower mileage cars)

5w-30 or 5w-40 (for higher mileage cars)




9-3 1.9TTiD engine

Fully synthetic engine oil that is approved in accordance with GM-LL-B-025 specifications with the recommended viscosities :

0w-40




Vehicles manufactured on or after 2010

Dexos2 is required for all 2010 new GM / Opel / Vauxhall / Chevrolet diesel and gasoline models (dexos2 is also backward compatible with older specifications)

Mobil 1™ ESP 0W-40 and Mobil Super™ 3000 Formula G 5W-30 are fully approved to meet the specific GM requirements.
