Hello guys, I am new to this forum and need help on a situation with my car. I have a 4D Automatic Hatchback Saab 99' 9-3 Turbo SE. I purchased it with 144,000 miles and now it is at 152,000. Just recently I was driving at 45mph and my car was losing power( even when I put foot all the way on the gas). I had to pull over twice, then eventually getting towed to a shop. Come to find out they said I need a new Torque Clutch Converter Solenoid. They said this part for my car is on national back order(rare) and they couldn't put it in if I bought it and gave it to them because of company policy. They said it is still drivable but it is dangerous to keep on with a faulty TCCS(especially because I will be on the highway) So I'm in a hard place right now. I have school coming up at the end of the month. I really do like my Saab but I don't know what to do and I need a car soon. Should I keep looking around, sell it for junk/or official sale, or try and purchase a old Honda. I just don't want this to mess up again during the school year and I need something that will hold up. So if anyone with any suggestions would be helpful. I have also acquired the Volvo interchangeable part number for the solenoid but no shops are willing do the work because they dont want to be held accountable if something goes wrong. IM JUST STUCK RIGHT NOW ON WHAT TO DO.ANY HELP IS WELCOMED!
