Thread: 1998 SAAB 9-3 2.0 LPT SE Tonneau Cover Problems

Hello everyone,

I am sure that this topic has been covered to death but I have an issue that I cannot resolve.

When I drop the soft top the mechanism it all works, except the tonneau cover just does not open far enough. It opens but needs to go back another 2 inches so the soft top can clear it. The shear pin was broken and I have replaced that, I have topped up the hydraulic fluid but it still does the same. it does the same when being opened or closed. If you nudge the tonneau cover a little to clear the roof it all works great. The tonneau cover catches on the fifth bow and the very top of the soft top (where it meets the windscreen).

any ideas?? any help would be gratefully accepted
