    Knocking exhaust

Need some advice. I have a 2004 93 Aero model.
Knocking coming from the tail pipe. I have checked and its all pretty secure.
Is there a baffle or something that could come loose in the rear chrome tail pipe?
Standard exhaust with no modifications. Pardon the pun but im baffled???

Are you sure the noise isn't coming from elsewhere, such as the suspension? I was sure my exhaust tips had somehow suddenly started knocking against the bumper skirt, but it turned out to be the rear anti-roll bar making the noise because the droplinks were worn.

I am pretty sure the chrome trim is one piece and slips on over the existing pipes and held in place by (2?) bolts. I would be siurprised if this was the problem and if anything it would vibrate.

Quick update, seems to be the rear silencer before the chrome tail pipe. Because the car sits so bloody low, its difficult to see, im hoping its just a perished rubber on the exhaust brackets. Will have to get it raised this weekend an wheel off. Thanks for all the advice so far...

My money would be on a rubber that has given up the ghost

Bend the heat shield out of the way, it's just thick tin foil.

Cheers Jezz1, was indeed the heatshield, the lads at farmer autocare tightened it back up this morning, had come loose and was sat on top of the rear silencer. (2 minute job) no more rattles, for now LOL.
