250,000 miles in an aero?
Hi everyone,
Just posting this new thread to go along with the one i posted in new members! I'm searching for a Saab 9-5 aero over here in France where i live now. I read loads of conflicting advice on the potential of these cars. I've read that a well looked after aero can do 250,000 miles!! Can anyone out there confirm this? What mileage have owners got to before they got huge bills? What's the secret to an aero's longivity?
I've also read lots of horror stories about thse cars concerning the automatic gearbox and sludging ( post 2004 are ok i guess). I hope you can help me out on this since i really want a Saab, but i don't want to make my local mechanic rich!!

Re: 250,000 miles in an aero?
Hi, mines done 106,000 miles with full saab history, only had to replace tyres/springs/pads, nothing else. Apart from the CD player everything works. Its a 2004 model. Just sailed thru its MOT today with no advisories !
