Thread: Saab 1.9 tid 150 a bit smokey and rough sometimes

Every now and then when I start my Saab up from cold it is a little bit smokey ( blue smoke) and has a lumpy idle. I cleaned out my EGR valve and inlet pipe as it was absolutely covered in dirt. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Common on saab's and others, egr valve sticking or stuck. Diesels need to be driven, short starts and stops dont do them any favors.
Did you clean maff sensor as well, mine was lumpy on idle until saab cleaned maff sensor for me.

map sensor next to the air box with an electrical connector also threads recommend cleaning this.
