Saabtech Stevenage Hosts Erik Carlsson!!!

Hey Peeps,

I am so excited to tell everyone that, Erik 'Mr Saab' Carlsson, will be at our grand opening of our new site in Welwyn Garden City next Saturday!!! Yay!!

For all that don't know, Saabtech UK Ltd is moving from Stevenage to the old Welwyn Saab site in Brownfields, and we are hosting an open party with the main man of Saab giving his time to make a VIP guest appearance!

10 til 3 on both saturday and sunday (31st and 1st). Mr Carlsson will be there on Saturday!

There is also a posibility that the replica RAC rally car (which he won in) that Saab made for Mr Carlsson is going to be on display! Get your cameras out Saabys!

Come and join us and meet the legend, and if you are new to Saab, then let me explain, this man was the Colin McCrea of rally Driving! (In my opinion!) Before co-pilots, Before Mr McCrea! before PAS (power Steering), Before driver creature comforts, before most, but he was driving a solid SAAB and with his amazing driving skill, he won many a title!

Will he be doing any "on the roof" driving demonstrations?

Hi Jezz1,

No 'On the roof', driving, but he will be signing a few of those books and i can also confirm that the rally car will be on display! Aswell as a whole host of other delights from a 99EMS to a new shape 9-5!

Hi Saabys,

We would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to our opening weekend!

The weather was not as good as it could have been, however the support was amazing! Thank you so much Erik for donating your rally car and signing the books! Also a big thank you to Mr & Mrs Philpotts for your support and taking people for a drive in the Sonnet (the only Saab we thought we would not have on display as it is so rare ((about 11 left in the UK!)) ).

I have to say that I love this brand and we will do all we can to make sure that we keep people in Saabs! I personally don't want to drive what everyone else drives and have an A*d$ (a car made in Europe that does not have indicators stalks fitted as standard) on my driveway, and we like the fact that we drive past my neighbours in snow, whilst we wave as their rear wheel drive european cars sit their hopeless and preventing the UK economy from working!

For any of you out there who are unaware of Saabtech-uk and are in commutable distance to the new site in Welwyn Garden City I cannot rate them enough; always there to give advice and the service given is above and beyond any other garage I have ever been to.

The people and the sheer quality of work do make the garage what it is and now carrying Saab approved status, well done guys

I did attend the opening and I thank you for your hospitality.
