Tuning box 2.2ttid 125bhp
Ive seen on fleabay a tuning box for the 9-3 and 9-5 2.2ttid and spoke to one of the past buyers and they have said good things and havent had any problems with the unit or the car after fitting it.
just wondered has anyone else fitted one on here?
can tuning boxes knack your engine???

Re: Tuning box 2.2ttid 125bhp
i have had one on mine previously, its a bit better but nothing extreme, and it throws the MPG gauge out big time too (mine said i got approx 56MPG when it was in the high 40's)
on the motorway i noticed a bit better "pick up" however i have started to experience hesitation/misfire on light throttle so have removed it for now as a precaution just incase this is causing the issue
most of the tuning boxes just adjust fuel pressure, some go onto the fuel temp sensor, and some alter the boost and fueling. If i was you I would buy a used one, if you like it then result (the DTUK are rated well but you pay for this)

Re: Tuning box 2.2ttid 125bhp
I have a DTUK chip in my 1.9TID 150 and it has been great, no problems with the car and the MPG increased once fitted, this is the Eco version.
I had a chip prior to this which threw the car into limp mode regularly blocking the DPF too cannot remember the name of it but however I highly recommend the DTUK box.
Performance increase is great I am slowly increasing in small increments testing making sure all is ok and it's up just over a 1/4 of the way and it is noticeably quicker.

The one on eBay is £87 so not really breaking the bank but I thought its worth a try

Re: Tuning box 2.2ttid 125bhp
The DTUK ones new are near £300 but on ebay they will go for less than a third of that I would recommend it over the ebay ones any day.
Some of those are just resistors in a glamourous case.

That's what I was thinking but just based on comments from someone that has purchased one that I've been talking to cant recommend it enough

Re: Tuning box 2.2ttid 125bhp
Ye but a 95 2.2 which I assume is the same engine used in the 93
