Re: keys
I spoke to several dealers today about obtaining a remote as both of mine look like chewed toffee, bad news no one has them, the price was up to now £50 plus VAT !! and advice to me was to get on ebay and find a good one at a reasonable price, so I did BIN £42.50 delivered. All for stupid plastic case.
As for blank keys they are on ebay for c£20 delivered then they need to be cut.
BTW talking about 4 switch remote fob on a 9-3 2008 Aero.

Re: keys
I am in the same situation, looking for another key, someone has told me that once a key has been programmed to one ECU then it can not be programmed to another, doesn't sound right to me, does anyone have a comment for that?

Re: keys
Saab parts have ordered 33000 keys to be made and expect to have them available to meet back orders and future orders soon. At least that's what the head of Saab parts said a couple of weeks ago. Saabs bankruptcy isn't meant to affect parts supplies (yet...)

Re: keys
As one of my keys has the buttons falling off(insulating tape wrapped around fob to hold)I searched for hours for a cheap case. Ebay prices have rocketed for used ones some of which are in poor condition. I found one on a GM site but it was the old part number that had been superceeded. Well as I only wanted the case I bought it for 16.68 inc postage. A bargain I thought. So when it arrives all I need to do is swith the internals over. Hope there is no soldering to do etc.
I did ask if they had more fobs for sale but unfortunately they didnt as this was just old old stock.
Regards David
