Thread: 2004 2.2 TiD intercooler - guidance please!

Hi all. 2004 2.2 TiD. Dreaded black smoke, horrible hissing from the front end and very poor fuel economy. It's intercooler change time! Hoping to do it this weekend. Has anyone got a step-by-step guide they could send me please?

I must be one of the unlucky ones....not one reply! Anyway, found a very helpful forum member and with a guide he provided, did the job myself in a few hours saving myself £££'s.

Fuel economy is back to nearer 40mpg around town, no black smoke, and a large increase in power. Well worth investing the time and effort... If anyone else needs info on how to do it, feel free to pm me.
