Thread: Which fuse now to silence alarm?

  1. #1
Hello everyone. Newbie here so please be gentle, particularly as I haven't had much sleep over the last day. 9-3 1.9tdi Diesel Auto saloon. 56 plate. Random alarm. It's a company car (BT) and a bank holiday weekend. Aaargh!

I've pulled the fuse that says tilt sensor (14 in the boot?) and I've pulled the horn fuse out as well. I don't want/need to fix it (I pay a lot of tax for that benefit), I just want to shut the bloody thing up. Goes off when the engines running. Goes off when it isn't. Goes off when it's locked. Goes off when it's unlocked. Went off today when I said I was going for lunch. It's doing my head in.

So, this afternoon, upon returning to my mate's farm, I pull up at a junction. Whilst waiting for the road to clear, parp parp parp parp parp. This is with the engine running and in Drive. FFS. It stopped as soon as I moved off but is it me?

The car is now abandoned at the furthest end of my mate's farmyard from his house. The wife won't let me park it on the street.

    For my MY2003 9-3 it's fuse 24 in the boot, not 14.

I only looked into it as I have opposite problem, alarm goes off but makes no noise, just flashing lights.

There's an unlabelled fuse in there. I've left the handbook in the car at the farm so can't confirm the number. It was the one for the motion sensors though.
