Engine management light on after cruise control engaged.

Hi everyone!

I would first of all like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am a new Saab owner just a few weeks.
My car is a Saab 93 2.2 TiD 04 Plate with 93000 miles on the clock. Virtually all Saab full service history apart from the last 10000 miles or so.
The knowledge on this forum is very high indeed, so I am coming to you for help within the SAAB community!
I have to say the car is my first Saab and coming from german makes, it's in superb condition, it is the best car I have driven and everybody loves it!

However it has had the following issues;

On collecting the car I got 'Low coolant level' warning on the SID.
I did some research on this forum and found that the reservoir was a little low, but not much, so I just topped up to the arrow line, when the car was cold. The message hasn't been back since, and the coolant level is fine.

I also had the usual slow retracting belts, which have been fixed.

The next concern I have is the most recent issue, which happens once I am at motor way speeds, and, engage the cruise control.
The car goes fine for around 10 minutes with no speed changes, and then all of a sudden, the cruise control kicks out and the engine management light comes on.
Now, the car seems to have full power still, no jerky idle, and no fuel consumption changes, even with this light on. The light goes out after the 3rd starting cycle and doesn't come back on at all, until I engage the cruise control at motor way speed 70 mph. Interestingly I can re-engage the cruise control and it works, but with this light on I don't like doing so.

Any help or advice is much appreciated, the car is due a service soon so the SID tells me, I am based in South Yorkshire, so if anyone knows of a good specialist I can go to in the region that would be great also!

Best regards

WB

Hi Gents, can anybody help me with the above?

I have just had the engine management light on after just driving home without the cruise control this time.
I was going up a steady incline at a constant speed, no drop in performance noticed, but the light remains, I wonder if this could be air pressure related??

Any help advice much appreciated!
