    Hi

I have a 04 9-3 Aero 2.0T and have just purchased an AUX kit from Elk Parts.

I'm now looking for a cigarette lighter to put into the centre armrest to power my iPod.

Does anyone know if this is a standard part, SAAB specific part or has no one ever tried this.

I cannot find any threads on the fitting of one but I don't think it will be too hard.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

I though that the power socket was standard on the 9-3SS. There is one in our car.

    This is where it is:

I did a photo guide to my AUX install here

Thanks for the guide. I have already printed this out ready for the install.

Unfortunalty my2004 did not have the power socket. I'm sure it wont be a big deal. I have managed to source one from a breakers and I'm sure I can find a power source.

    Cheers

AUX install and the independent dealer I bought the car from did the Tech II update for free. What a stroke of luck.

Also installed a additional power socket in the arm rest . Purchased a second hand one for £10 from a breakers and ran power and earth to the ashtray and then sourced the power from the original cigarette lighter.

Works like a dream and is switched from the ignition.
