£850 plus installation. It's a reprogram of your ECU.
Details at the Hirsch website: http://www.hirsch-performance.ch/Content.a...ucts%2fLeistung
The exhaust etc. is a cosmetic extra if you want it.

so is that it - just a software change !!! and £850 wow - sounds like Microsoft

Theres a bsr product for your engine...might be worth a look...comes by a programming box delivered to your home...DIY instal...I think it has slightly higher hp/torque numbers (without chcking)
The only thing is that Hirsch keeps your saab warranty...but with the bsr, you can deprogram at will if you have any problems when you take the car into the dealers

/edit ...bah...theres no price on the website!

Didn't have to pay for my ECU upgrade, as it already on the car when I bought it. Speak to your local dealer, cost is £850 according to the Hirsch website, but I'm sure you can get it cheaper.
175 HP Performance Upgrade 1.9TiD manual
The enormous effort made by Hirsch Performance to develop the diesel performance upgrades has paid off. With the Hirsch Performance software upgrade for the variable turbo geometry 1.9 TiD engine, the torque is generous already at low rpm's, and accelerations are delivered smoothly, without running out of power too early at high rpm's. Extensive durability tests both in the test bench and on the road ensure a very high reliability, and the driving performance matches a gasoline car, but with unbeatable economy.
Available both for vehicles with and without particle filter.[/b]
The above is taken from Hirsch website, It's basically a reprogramming of the ECU.
Advantages : Increased torque, Increased power, Increased .
I previous had a non-remapped 210bhp Aero ss, and I am sure that my Hirsched sportwagon with 175bhp is almost as quick, losing about 1second in the 0-60 run.
Disadvantages : slightly lower fuel economy, higher insurance premium.
Looks like your dealer in Surrey is going to be :
Bell & Colvill SAAB, Epsom Road, KT24 6DG-Surrey, Phone +44 01483 281000http://www.bellandcolvillsaab.co.uk , SalesM.Bellcolvill@saabdealerships.co.uk | with IPRO* (IPRO is the tool they use to do the programming, so they can do it on site for you).
As for BSR, price is around £550. Not heard of anyone with BSR on a diesel before, but lots of good reports on petrol engines.
Hope this is of some help.
Steve.
