When I select cruise control the small speed select symbol (for want of better discription) is displayed in green l.e.d. on bottom left of main dial, as explained in handbook.
When using the cruise, which works fine, should the word "CRUISE" become displayed also somewhere on the dash/instrument screens?? Just looking at handbook it suggests when cruise selected this should light up on the display somewhere. Just a small thing I know but its handy to have sorted while in warranty

I think the little "speedometer" symbol has replaced the word "cruise".

Her early 9-3SS has "cruise", as does my 2002 9-5. But the 2007 9-5 just has the symbol.

My old 2003 ss used to display "CRUISE" when you turned the cruise control switch was on, but that was all that was displayed, it didn't matter if it was active or not, just as long as the stalk switch was in the "on" position.
In my MY'07 SportCombi, the word "CRUISE" has been replaced by the little speedo symbol you mention, but again it doesn't change or display something different depending on the activeness of cruide control, just lit when stalk switch is "on" and unlit when stalk switch is "off". So I assume this is the way it is meant to operate.
