from what i hear, every turbo engine can run a little more boost than stock. so could i fit one of these without killing the engine if i wasnt silly with it?

    Hi Mic,

YOur new car looks nice. I've deleted the reference to the manual boost valve on E-Bay as links to E-Bay items aren't allowed underthe Acceptable use policy.

I think you will find that the general consensus around here is that these things aren't really worthwhile as IIRC the ECU will just bleed the extra boost off when certain criteria are met.

To be honest, I suspect you might be better served by fitting a modified ECU, Maptun, Abbott or others. Probably cost a little more, but designed for the job and should save you that expensive engine rebuild.....

I agree with this. More boost is one thing, but equally important to how the car drives / performs is modifying the ignition map / advance & for this you need the ECU tweaked

mic , don't bother, it's just not worth it. I have tried an MBC and the gains are not that much than what a well sorted WG with APC will give you...use the cash to go for a few pints instead.
