    Evening folks
    The top hose snapped of my radiator the other night so it's out with the spanners this weekend .

    The first rad. was obviously wrong from the second I took it out of the box but the parts guy really knocked his pipe out to get me one for this morning, however after slaving in the hot sun the bl£$^y thing doesn't fit 'cos its about 2 inches wider than the failed part and the mounts don't line up

    On the phone again, the guy told me that the catalog specifies this radiator for the 2.3 turbo with aircon BUT the non-aircon rad is 2 inches smaller. I have got the cold air but not the full climate control - is this where the confusion lies?

    The failed part number is 7550080 if that helps

    Thanks in advance

    It is possible to move the lower, drivers side, mounting hole to a different location to suit your radiator.

    Good luck, Rod.

    Thanks Rod but then the intercooler won't fit cos they're both on the same bracket.
    Looks like i'll be taking a day off during the week assuming I can get the right one

    Aircon or not makes no difference to the radiator, nor does engine size (except for V6).

    There were different versions for manual, auto, and turbo.

    The auto/manual turbo radiators are the same size. I wonder if you've been given a radiator for an N/A or perhaps V6 model?

    In agreement with Bubbles' understanding, these returns from a search on the part no. you listed indicate a single design across the 9000 range. However they all now appear to refer to a new p/n allocation of 7599194. I am interested in any problems you have encountered.

    Description : Radiator
    PartNo : 7550080
    Usage : 1986-1989, TURBO, A, NLS-USE 7599194
    Usage : 1986-1989, IA, NLS-USE 7599194
    Usage : 1990, TURBO, A, NLS-USE 7599194
    Usage : 1991-1992, TURBO, A, NLS-USE 7599194
    Usage : I, A, NLS-USE 7599194

    I hope this helps.

    Many thanks Bubbles and Tempguage
    I've got a K reg ('92) 2.3 Turbo Sport with an autobox. I spoke to the parts guy on Monday morning and he seemed to think what I've got is a bit of a rarity as it's a special order so I won't be seeing the replacement before Thursday

    I'll see if the 7599194 part number agrees with his number

    BTW Tempguage, what does "I" stand for on the last line?

    regards
    Doc

    I = Injection (non turbo)
    Turbo = Turbo
    A = Autobox

    Just by means of an update, yesterday I picked up the third version proferred by my local parts dealer to find this one is a recon and has the temperature sensor port blanked in the moulding. I gave the bloke the number supplied by Tempguage and was promised the correct part for today. 2 pm up rolls the van bearing another recon but with the oil & temperature ports and the correct pitch mounts and the added bonus of a sheared off screw in one of the oil cooler mounting bosses meaning once again that it is utterly bl**dy useless as are Pro Parts of Waterlooville Hampshire

    By the way, thanks for explaing the abbreviations Scaero
