It looks OK apart from one thing:

If what he means is that there's no speedo, there's a good chance that it will need the gearbox taken out to replace the plastic drive cog inside it. Not a cheap fix.

Maybe it's expected for a car of that age in that climate to suffer a lot of odd electrical problems but some of the problems described don't sound familiar at all and offhand I wouldn't have a clue how to go about fixing them.

That car would be equivalent to the last of the 2.0 Carlssons (and the VIN decodes to a 2.0 Turbo model). I don't know if there was an SPG equivalent of the 2.3.

Still, I'd be tempted to steer clear of it because of the speedo drive problem. Given the other electrical gremlins, it's quite possible that it's just a corroded connector on the speed sensor but you wouldn't find out until you bought the car and a gearbox rebuild would likely be quite expensive. There is no speedo drive cable on the 9000 after about 1986.
