Well chaps lets hope this is the low spot of 2007 for me and my beloved MY96 9k cse!
I had noticed the tell-tale dreaded white smoke on start-up just prior to christmas and fully intended to have it checked out asap.
Unfortunately asap was not asap enough as coolant started forcing its way out of the header tank. I took the car to my friendly local Saab indy who checked it out this morning, result is that a new heater matrix and head gasket need fitting
Cost? £350 for the head gasket job + £200 for sorting out the Matrix and cooling system, a grand total of £550.
