What temp does the metal on the DI get up to?
I've got some red oxide primer to give it a few primer coats and it's ok up to 110c. If not suitable, what paint is out there for the job?

Well the engine coolant runs at about 89ºC pulling most of the heat away from the engine.

I'd be really surprised if the DI got that hot, even though it does generate its own heat too.

I touched up the one on the 9-5 with cellulose matt black and it survived.
