    Aircon Advice

Have seached and read a lot of previous posts, just asking here for an opinion!
    '97 900 se 2.0 Monte Carlo
Driving along, 30 deg outside, aircon working fine. The noticed that I had no more cold air. No noise, no drama, just not working.

When I got home, checked all fuses beside the dash and in the box under the bonnet, swapped a relay around, no effect.
When I press the button in the car, small click in relay, revs rise but no sound of the compressor engaging.

Some posts seem to suggest electrical or a compressor clutch problem.
    So the main questions:
    Anything else I can check?
Is this a Saab dealer thing, or am I better off with an aircon specialist?

    Re: Aircon Advice

Do you mean the air coming out wasn't cold, or that no air was coming out?

Either way, the solenoid that controls the clutch may have stuck. Mine stuck on and everything froze up (so that no air came out)! After it thawed, it worked for a while then froze and blew out all the gas (scary).

If that's what it is, a 2nd hand relay is about £5, but fix it quick before you lose the gas.

Sorry, I wasn't clear! Air is coming out i.e. the fan is working on all 4 speeds.
Leaving it overnight does not change the situation, so its not stuck on!
Is the solenoid easy to get at?
The realy is in the box under the bonnet with other fuses etc, yes? If so it's not that. I have swapped it with other relays with no change in the situation.
