    Jumpy Throttle On Accel

    I put my foot down and the car judders i drive a l reg 9000 cse 2.0 turbo had the starter motor problems changed 2 door handles (due to stolen car hitting it) glued a lot of brittle plastic and now it misses when you accelerate help

    I'm certainly no expert, but from reading other posts on this forum I suspect that your DI cassette may be on its way out.
    If it were my car I would start though by checking that the spark plugs were in good shape and are the correct type (NGK BCPR7ES-11), after that check that the fuel filter is clean that gets rid of the cheap problems.

    I have the same problem on my Missus's 9K. That has got a brand new DI pack on it though!

    does your car jump all the time? Mine does but only for the first minute or so and at low speeds, I am told that this is a common hickup on 9000's a good service seems to make the problem a lot better.

    All the time....under even very mild acceleration. Im going to fill up with super unleaded next time to make sure that isnt the problem.

    I always find that super unleaded makes her more responsive but I never get much better fuel economy as promised by the garages!

    Changed plugs today (see the spark plug topic) and sorted the problem. The plugs I swapped them for were not new either so did not cost me anything...extra bonus!
