    bluetooth pairing

    is there a simple guide to set up my mobile phone with the 9-3 saab
    i can get my car to see the mobile and my mobile to spot the car..
    i want to be able to get in the car and it take over the phone
    is there a way?

    Welcome!

    Don't think you can do this. It works the other way around. You have to use the built-in Saab phone/SIM card reader to take over your other stuff, but not a phone.

    yup..stupidly this isn't possible. you can connect to your phone and use the wap broswer, but nothin else.

    This was probably so that saab could charge people upwards of 600 to have the phone kit.

    I have the built in phone and the only useful thing I can do is Bluetooth my contacts from my mobile to the car phone.

    thanks for your help.
    have looked on the saab web site and it mentions a Duplicate SIM-card. can these be obtained from saab?

    i should mention, i have the phone kit, can put a sim in the unit but wanted to use my mobile 'paired up' with the saab
    my friend has a bmw and it is easily set up on their car

    Duplicate SIM will come from your phone company/supplier. Most won't do it or, if they do they will charge the calls on two separate tariffs.

    I've just found this site www.smart-card.com, could I just copy the technical
    data from the site or do I need some kind of permission?. I am writing a project for school.
