Fuel Injector Wiring - MY93 Aero
Since having my top engine mount replaced the car is reluctant to start once it has been sat for more than an hour or so.
When doing the change I had to have the injectors out to make room. A few days later I had to replace the seals on them and I'm not certain I put them back in the right order.
Does anyone know how much difference it would make and what the correct order/colour is for the injectors.
If anyone has any oter suggestions please let me know.
Thanks
Lee

Re: Fuel Injector Wiring - MY93 Aero
The injection is sequential, (i.e. there is an injection order, much as there is a firing order.) Notionally the injectors are all the same so I can't see it making any difference which order you put them in, so long as the connectors are in the correct positions (i.e. 1-1, 2-2 etc.) it should run. I think you'd have to be going some to put the wrong leads on the injectors as IIRC apart from anything else, they are numbered, and also I don't think there is enough cable on the connectors to let you fit them to the wrong injectors.
Is the earth cable in that area connected?
Fuel pump might be tired.
Fuel Pressure relief valve might be on the way out.

Re: Fuel Injector Wiring - MY93 Aero
My Aero has trouble starting after standing for a little bit - fuel supply line has worn through as it passes along the false firewall.. have a pinhole leak (untill sunday), so it loses pressure when standing.
I know, I know, shouldnt be driving it with a leaking fuel line (realised it has been there for at least 5 weeks now! ), but i need to go to work etc etc, and fixing it on sunday morning
I thought the smell of fuel i got when the car was stationary was just my badly leaking exhaust!

Re: Fuel Injector Wiring - MY93 Aero
Te problem is that I put all the injectors back in, definitely in the right orde rbut I thik it could be that 2 of the connectors have been interchanged. There's definitely no leaks in the fuel line as I've a good nose for that although you may be right about the weak fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.
This has literally only started since the injectors were removed and refitted so I'll do a little more digging next week, once I've moved into the new house and actually havea full set of tools.
Thanks
