Raindrops keep falling on my head....
...if I'm in the back and it's raining.
Hello from a new member.
The (rather damp) car in question is a 1997 ® 9000 CSE 5 door.
Quite a lot of water has started dripping through the interior roof lining in the centre where it meets the rear door hatch.
I can't see any obvious signs of corrosion or damage on the seal, but there was quite a bit of leaf and small twig debris which I've since cleared away.
I can't see any reference to this in any of the 9000 posts so if there's anyone out there with some clues or tips, I'd be very grateful - and hopefully drier.
Thanks in anticipation,
Peter
By the way, am I the first to start with a song?

there is a post here
I think mine is leaking through the windscreen seal, or do you have a sunroof? The drain tubes may be blocked.
Removing the door trim is a doddle, the hardest part is removing the mirror switch panel.
Remove the Left/Right toggle (pull), remove the foam pad under it with tweezers, push the little clip forward

Re: Raindrops keep falling on my head....
Trollbooster, thanks for the reply.
No sunroof (sorry, I should have thought to say that at the start) and I can't see anything to suggest it's coming from the windscreen. In fact the whole ceiling is dry apart from a small patch about 300mm by 100mm at the back where it meets the hatchback door. Are there any drain points in the hatchback sill?
Thanks again
Peter

Take her through a good car wash, and have a good look round inside, this should show any leaks.

Re: Raindrops keep falling on my head....
Hi,
Yeap, had similar problem although a relatively smalll trickle that would drip in and run down the rear headrest and onto the seat.
Inspection revealed that the hatchback seal had become a little compressed in places and not sealing tightly against the hatch.
With a little bit of trial and error I found matchsticks and other small pieces of wood pushed into the top of the groove of the seal, and then pushed back onto the metal lip were it sits gave it that extra bit of height and allowed it to seal better.
Hope this is of some help.
