hi , im about to purcahse a 9000 2.3t , wierd thing is its on a 'e' plate, i thought that these didnt exsist until 1990-1991.

anyone got any links, that give a breakdown of such info or can anyonen help.

ive been assured , its a 2.3t , with se spec, its also a hatchback with metallic silver paint, hope that helps.

im viewing it monday night so that will shed more light. just wanted to clear up some stuff before i viewed it

You are correct to say that the 2.3 did not arrive on the scene until 1990. Is the car on a private plate perhaps?

Identification is simple- it will say "2.3" on the cam cover.

If you want to check before you go to see it, you could try putting the VIN into the decoder on BillJ's site, here

yeah , im hoping its already on a private plate, funnily enough the person im buying it from only wants the car for the plat as it end 'dan' which happens to be his name. he assures me ita a 2.3t so im hopeing it a h plate, i no it has leather, walnut dash , electric everything, cruise control and probaly a teas maid

if i get the vin umber ill stick it throught the decoder. many thx jim
