Garbled SCC Display

Can anyone who has upgraded their analogue clock in a 95-98 9000 give me some advice?

I have the correct SCC (45 19 443) so it should be simple.

I have connected the single 8pin connector from the old analogue clock into the new computer. When switched on the screen lights up but is garbled. Parts of the digits are missing.

I’m thinking either it’s broken or I need to find another connector hidden somewhere?

When I upgraded the clock in my 88 9000 there was the well documented but tricky to find extra 8pin connector tied up behind the carpet.
But I can’t find one in this car.

I think there might be an issue with pins and contacts. Suggest you do a search on the 9000 forum. If you are getting some form of display, it is most likely an internal fault rather than a connector.

IIRC there is at least one post explaining how to fix it. I don't think it is difficult.

So you think it is connected correctly & there isn't a different connector?

And you say there is a post somewhere about fixing a garbled display!
I don't seem to get on with this new sites search but I'll have another look.
