    Car Mechanics magazine

Just wondered if anyone saw the Car Mechanics article this month on the good old 9000. Kind of funny that they cocked up the bit about where you find the ignition key. Good three pager with decent text, maybe a boost for market values?!

Didn't see it, but if they got the location of the ignition lock wrong you have to ask if they actually saw the car, or wrote the article from other reports....

I got it, and thought it a good write up on the 9000, apart from the aforementioned mistake, it showed the 9000 in a good light and pointed out most of the things that go wrong on them, all in,i thought it a balanced review and certainly showed the 9000 to be the great car we know and love, NOT that i am in any way biased .

    Yep good write-up.

Latest Practicle Classics has a one page section on buying a 9000 to keep. Predicts £3100 in value for 2015 - only ten years to go!
Talks about timing chains being weak and costing £1500 to replace - without pointing out its much cheaper and quite easy to DIY the chain and head gasket together and this will only need doing every 100k to 150k miles - not that weak IMHO
