    Trip Computer variants

Just thought I'd post the results of my hunt for a Trip Computer (SCC/DCC)for my '97 9000CD. Part no's for the various years as follows:
    1985 to 1989 - use 91-24-579
    1990 to 1993 - use 41-10-607
    1994 only - use 44-37-224
    1995 to 1998 - use 45-19-443
I have pictures of the front & back of each of these (except '94 version), email me for a copy (or can anyone host them somewhere useful?. Sorry, but can't help with the wiring except for the latest model - I have a pic of the wiring colours for this one.
Beware that wiring differs between models & you can blow a unit by plugging it into the wrong year car. Speed sensors are different as well, so earlier models will not fit later cars (& v/v)
    Hope this helps someone out
    regards
    Bronco

I've fitted a 1995-1998 SCC model to my 1991 car without any problems,

I just had to move 3 wires across as the 1991 is 5 and 3pin in a 8 way plug, the later ones are a single 8 way plug with all pins filled.

I don't thik the dcc and scc are swappable, i.e. the break point is 1989/1990.

Thanks to your help, Andrew, I fitted a unit taken from a '92 in my '87. I just had to rewire a couple of wires and get a signal from the speedo.
I remember I was told by somebody when I was worink on that, that any unit can be wired to work in any 9k. Seeing my experience, I can't argue with that.
