2003 9-3 convertible hydralic line repair

I found where a hydraulic line has come apart preventing my top from operating. It is located above the right rear wheel, where the manual top lever is located. A plastic line with a red-ish weave sleeve leading from the reservoir into the base of the piston device (actuator?) has pulled out of its coupling. (i have pictures but can't seem to attach). How do I reconnect the line to the coupling device. Can I take off the coupling device and reconnect the hose to it some way? I tried to remove the piece the hydraulic line popped out of with a socket wrench, but couldn't apply enough torque to break it free from the l-shaped coupling that plugs into the base of the piston cylinder. Any ideas.
