Hello,
I'm about to buy a 2011 9-5 tid auto. Most of the other automatics I've owned have had a sport mode, and a winter driving mode in addition to the normal/economy mode. I note that these seem to be missing on the new 9-5. Does the ECU (?) take wheel spin and/or throttle response into consideration instead? I do find sport mode useful to get onto busy roundabouts, but I imagine a heavier foot has a similar effect. I'm trading in my citroen C5 auto, and that pulls away in third gear when in winter driving mode, could I do the same in the Saab using the "manual" mode? - would it allow me to start off in third from a standstill?
Many thanks in advance for your knowledge and input.
Jean-Pierre
