FOR SALE: SAAB 9-3 Turbo X Sportwagon / Estate - Hirsch Performance Kit **REDUCED**
Hi All - This is a listing for a Very special 2008 Saab Turbo X Sportwagon (manual). The car had the optional Hirsch
Performance Kit fitted at factory at a cost of over £2,500.00. The performance upgrade kit consists of
engine software, intercooler and air intake box. The additional performance upgrade produces the
following –
300 PS and 430 Nm
Top speed: 260 km/h 0-100 km/h: 5.5 seconds
80-120 km/h: 6.7 seconds
This Saab is almost unique. They are ultra rare in Turbo X guise alone, factored in with is being a
Sportwagon, manual with the Hirsch kit – You’ll not likely see another in this spec.
Anyone looking at this advert I would imagine knows what it is and how special a car it is. That said,
you’ll also likely know that these have a couple of common, well documented problems. All V6 9-3’s
suffer from coil pack failues. Although relatively cheap to fix, it is annoying – This car is having brand new NGK Laser Iridium
spark plugs and matching coils fitted before it leaves for its new owner.
The other major problem with these and other XWD Saab models involves the eLSD unit. These
required regular maintenance and early units are prone to failure. This Saab has had a factory new,
latest model fitted at 52,000 miles under my ownership. This work cost over £3,500.00.
Some unique features of this Turbo X
300hp Hirsch ECU upgrade
Hirsch Upgraded Intercooler
Hirsch Airbox
19” ALU78 “Turbo X”Alloys
Heated Seats
Performance Plus Pack
The car has been regularly detailed, using premium products. It’s been looked after by Robert Holden Saab Specialist (http://www.saab-specialist.co.uk) since I’ve owned the car,
they are located in Norwich. The car has only covered 62,500 miles. It’s got a new MOT and has just
had new Uniroyal Rainsport 3’s fitted. The car has a full service history, either SAAB or SAAB Specialist.
Being a few years old, there are a couple of items to note:
Wheels are Diamond Cut and have slight kerb marks on a couple and small areas of water
ingress (being really fussy)
The car has a few stone chips on the front, as any honest car will have. I have touched them
up but the really fussy out there will want to know this.
It’s an exceptional Saab, and by far the best Turbo X I could find - Another Saab fan will buy and enjoy it for many years
to come, it’s amazing to drive, reliable, fast, safe and the noise is incredible!
The private plate is not included in the sale and is currently being transferred to a another car.
Payment will be via bank transfer. A deposit will be taken if you wish to secure the car.
Collection will be from South Norfolk NR16, you are of course welcome to view the car at this address. Test drives will be dependant on proof of insurance, otherwise you're in the Passenger seat! ;-)
If you wish for more photo's, these can be sent on request. Any and all questions welcomed.
I have listed on other sites with a "Screen Price" of £8,995.00 - I invite you to pick the phone up / PM me to discuss a deal. I would like to see it go to an enthusiast owner.
Thanks,
JLM
