Just had an email from Yahoo! They have upgraded my account from 25mb to 2GB- yes two gigabyte for free. And they are dropping the price next year to £12 a year. Maximum email size is now 10mb.
Perfect for storing lots of Saab pics and movies eh?

I used to have a 6MB free mailbox from yahoo. I received a mail from them yesterday saying because of my loyalty with them for the last 5 years they have upgraded my mailbox to 100MB for free which is great. Nice looking interface changes too.
I used to pay them for POP/SMTP access (I have a .com id; they don't charge for the .co.uk ids) in the past but now I don't use it anymore.
But yes it is good!

I have used yahoo mail for years, and after struggled with the 6MB allocation, last week paid for extra storage.
Now I find I have 2GB to play with..... no way am I going to use that
If I had known they were going to up the free account to 100MB I wouldn't have upgraded

Don't know if this is to put off users from moving to gmail from google once it becomes available. gmail is supposed to give users a 100MB mailbox.
I can see your woe on having upgraded. Anyway you probably won't do it next time round.

I think Google's mail is giving 1 Gb, not 100Mb
Do you have to pay for pop/smtp access? I have a .it address and I an access to it with my Outlook for free.
Even if my mailbox is now 10Mb instead of 6, I keep receiving the warnings when I get too close to 6Mb..... Maybe it's just a matter of time.

As Google plan to scan all mail and using the results to send you marketing info I'd prefer the 100mb over 1Gb.
