Hi- I'm new and have just bought a 2000 9-5. I've put the tyre pressures at 32 PSI but they still don't look particularly firm and 'squash down' a bit. Is this just typical of the car (I had a BMW e36 and the tyres always looked a little flat despite being at the correct inflation) or should I inflate a bit more?
Thanks.

Welcome! smile.gif

The recommended tyre pressures are on the label on the door pillar. But I used to run my 1998 car at slightly higher than recommended. Halfway between the "low speed" recommended and the "high speed/loaded" figure.

Ditto really.

You don't say what wheel size, but I used to run the 16s on my old 9-5 saloon, where the range was 32 to 39, at 37/38 all round, even when driving solo and unladen. 32 certainly always felt way too spongy.

I think my 16"s are set at about 36psi, they were around 38psi when I was running Pirellis with a 93 load index but now I'm on Neutons with a load rating of 97 they were far too crashy so needed to go down a bit.

My 9-5 Aero on 17s has a pressure of 36/38psi.
