I have looked all over including Wikipedia! Can anyone tell me when DPF's were first fitted to the 9-3? I posted on here before about the problems I had with my TTid and decided in the end to get rid of it. I would still like a diesel Saab but not one with the DPF fitted, I had a Diesel TDI Golf before and it never had one fitted and I loved everything about the car and after checking with a VW specialist he tells me they started to fit DPF's in 2007. So I was thinking that if I could find a pre DPF 9-3 it would be worth having as I love the comfort and the torque.

Any help much appreciated.

Some 2005 models have a DPF and some have a lambda setup, so erm, potentially all of them unless you get an 03 or 04 2.2 diesel.

If they have the Lambda system then hopefully they will not have the problems that the DPF fitted ones do. I would like to think that the diesel cab be run without the continual problems of excess fuel being pumped into the system to make it more environmentally friendly.!!!!

The Airflow ones didn't have the DPF.
