Hi guys,

Last year my air conditioning unit in my 93 1.9TID (2006) was making funny noises. After a few days the air conditioning packed in. I can get hot air still but not freezing cold so in the summer I wont be able to have the car nice and cool.

Anyone experienced any similar problems and know of a quick fix?

Regards

Same thing just happened to my 93 TiD . What was the solution?

Pressure test of system and a regas cured mine (06 TiD). Now down to 2 degrees at the vents.

Hi guys,

I've noticed on a couple of occasions this week, very soon after setting off from cold (driven just a few yards) that there's a sound like a "moaning sigh" for a few seconds. On the forum for my previous car, owners mentioned "whale song/whoop" noises, which came from the aircon.

Is the noise I'm now hearing likely to be aircon? The car's an 06 9-3 TiD convertible, (Linear, so it's not got ACC), 56000 miles, which I bought a couple of months ago.

Thanks in advance
