I just thought all Saab owners should be aware of this site, maybe even egister!

http://www.pipelinecard.org

We all need fuel and the cheaper the better. It is worth a look.

In the mean time this site will find the cheapest petrol in your area:

Pipelinecard was discussed on Fifth Gear tonight. It's still only a fond hope in the eyes of the originator.

OPRAHS WAY OF MAKING MONEY ONLINE

Make Money Fast!!! It's So Easy! Etc, etc....

I must find my 20' barge pole and try not to touch this one. Here's my method. Get out of bed in the morning, go to work, come home, repeat, and get paid. If you have the brains to invent or concoct something the rest of humanity can't do without, great, otherwise just make the most of your free time and enjoy life.

A good attitude to have. Going to take the Dogs out again today - not sure where. Hopefully somewhere without flies, unlike yesterday...

Cheers

Gang, you're all missing the point, surely..

Sunflower oil and fat from your local chippy is the cheapest fuel around.

Shows you how to run your car off vegetable oil without touching anything (though please be careful, this may work but it is always better to make a full conversion)

You will need a diesel for the first solution. The second, I believe can be done to any car...

Oh and this stuff saves the planet as well so you can save money and sleep at the same time... pretty genius if you ask me
mickiefinn
which one is your car running on Lomax?
The best way to sleep at night is to ditch the car altogether and walk everywhere, you'll be so knackered a good nights sleep is guaranteed!

irishfuelprices.com will give you the cheapest fuel in your area in Ireland. And if you find cheap fuel you can add it to the site so that every one can avail of it.

A recent Honda advert made a point about the struggle to invent something radical or popular, most of the effort is in the isolation from everyone else around you, going against the gail of advocacy and resistance to change where none is believed possible.

In a world of chip eaters, the man who drives around in a car that smells like a chip shop is king, even though nobody would agree.

How much is the ethanol (E85) over there?

Over here its the cheapest fuel by far.

I don't get the chip fat thing. So if we convert all our cars to run on chip fat, we save the planet. However we all die of heart attacks due to eating sufficient chips to prioduce 25million (cars) times 50 (litres fuel per car per week) = 1250million litres of chip fat per week. And I assume this extra frying is done via those frequently spotted solar powered chippies, or am I missing something?

Yours cynically

Duncan ;-)

LOL

Most of still gets dumped.

Up until the supermarkets got wise, it was cheaper to buy fresh veg oil than diesel - mostly because there is no duty - but now it's at least as expensive as diesel.

Not sure how well Saab/Fiat diesels cope with watered down, used oil (watered down with turpentine that is). These have longer hydrocarbon chains so you will probably get more coking (see elsewhere on saabscene for the problems this can cause and how to clean your EGR valve).

There are a growing number of retaillers selling FAME (veg oil where the hydrocarbon chains have been split with NaOH) but this will eat through any rubber seals in your fuel line.
