Hmm, looks as though they thought it required an Emergency Stop button!!!

All that technology in one place and then brown velour seats

Road & Track actually tested it in 1992 and seemed to like it...

Hehe, sure could use some surface-to-surface missiles for those damned 1-40 traffic jams. And FYI, yes, I'd drive/fly a Saab car with a cockpit like so in a heartbeat. Perhaps I've played too many video games, but such a control system seems perfectly logical
