Hmm... autumn must be on it's way...

This morning I was reminded of an annoying little niggle that I had forgotten about over the summer. When it's cold (cool even, this morning was circa 7deg C) my tacho takes a few minutes to start reading the revs- it will get off zero, but then hang around for a while until things have (presumably) warmed up before reading properly. It's almost as though it's in treacle.

Any thoughts?

You have reminded me something.
Yes, I have the same on my 1992'CS on cold winter mornings. It initially reads 0 rpm for some 2-5 mins then it hops to around 1500rpm for some 1 min and still doesn't respond to accelerator. Then it lowers to actual rpm and all is OK. I already took it as being ok, but anyway, what is it?!? http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif

The speedo on my old 9000 used to do the same.. sometimes it would sit at zero then jump upto 20mph, unless I tapped it gently.

I just assumed it was the bearing getting sticky.
