On my old Carly, the headlamp wash/wipers only worked when headlamps were on but on my Aero they work everytime I want to wash the windscreen. Is this a fault or does it do this by design?

On my '96 Aero and '97 Anniversary and my previous '90 se turbo, they work without the lights on,like yours. On previous v=*xhalls though, the lights had to be on http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
