I asked somebody this question yesterday. Can't remember who or what the answer was. Is the DI cassette the same for all 9000 models and would I be right in thinking that the turbo for the 9000 carlsson is different from that on the 900 carlsson?

Yes, the DI is the same for all 9000's, but...
There was a modified unit later on that has a plug in socket on it for the wiring. If this is used, then a modified wiring harness needs to be installed. (Approx. £38 for the part,as far as i know).

Thanx.. but be patient; I have not yet seen one. If the later model has a plug in lead, how was the other connected. I assume that this is the best distinguishing mark?

the difference between the two is/one is connected ,with a continuous lead to two connector plugs at l/h. side of battery.the other can be disconnected at cartridge, a hell of a lot easier;;; the first type is i believe is the older type and i would avoid these if poss.
