: 1987 9000 turbo climate control problem

my saab is a 1987 9000 turbo and i know it has climate control, I set it to low but it does nothing I was just wondering what some other peoples thoughts on this were if I'd need a new A/C unit or what..pls respond, thanks.

The A/C system probably needs re-charged

When you switch on the system ,does the A/C compressor clutch cut in ? If not, I agree with Derek, and would get the system re charged. There is a pressure switch which cuts electrical power to the compressor clutch if the refridgerant pressure drops too low. The compressor has its own oil supply - suggest this is checked at the same time

thanks alot, i'll have to go check that out life in warm climate with leather and no A/C really stinks =/

Hi,

my 1990 Turbo has the same problem. The AC doesnt cool the car down, its almost heating so its nearly impossible to drive without opening a window :-(. I havent found out the problem too.
