Hi has anyone come across a sticking starter motor, it is not doing it all the time maybe about once in every 20 starts..I have changed the motor but it still sticks!! can it be something else?? is there a sensor? or poor battery? ..it seems to go , when I tap it with a hammer?? any idea`s

If your starter only turns when you hit it, this suggests poor electrical connections, probably between battery/starter solenoid/starter. The solenoid itself could also be at fault, due to pitted terminals internally. You`ve changed the starter, and batteries tend to die and be sluggish rather than have intermittent faults....
Sorry - haven't got an answer on this one, but I'd be interested in your symptoms.
My starter motor goes through phases of graunching as you release after starting - used to do it a lot, but now only sporadically.
Does yours play up prior, during or after starting?
