Hi all,

Well after some long and hard consideration I have decided to go with the 9-3 Vector (aero over there) over the new STI here in the States. Thank you guys for your feed back a few months back when I posted with questions about the Saab.

So I picked up my new Steel Gray Metallic Vector on Saturday and I love it http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/fawlty.gif . Can’t say enough good things about it. However while reading though the owners manual (1 of the 3 http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif ) I noticed it said playing CD-R’s could cause excessive heat in the CD player So my question to you guys is do you play CD-R’s in your CD players and if so have you had any problems?

Thanks for the help.

I've been playing CD-r's in my 9-5 since I had it!
Never once caused a problem and all have read perfectly!
I suspect if you use paper labels, and with the heat in the car CD players, the labels could lift and get jammed

I never use labels for incar stuff.

Thanks Leon,

I do not use labels on the CD's so I should not have any problems with them coming off. So I will play my CD-R's with out fear of bad things happening.

I have the 6-CD changer all jammed with cheap CD-R's and have not had any issues.

I have had my car for aproc 4 months and not had a single issue.
