I want to warn you about the great Con SAAB UK is running at the moment. Its called...'The Fake Spec'

When you look at the brochures of a Saab 93, or visit the Saab UK website you will think:

1. They all get the fancy cup holder...nope none do.

2. If you order a car with a Sports Steering Wheel, you will get one....nope.

3. Your armrest will be adjustable. Don't make me laugh!

I take it you have 9-3ss is this gripe from personal experience? if so what went wrong? And to be fair I think all manufacfturers use these tactics in there brochures

I was told by a dealer in the UK that there were problems with the cupholders; all the early cars were shipped without one, but they should be retrofitted by the dealers. YMMV.

This is from personal experience, and having had the following cars delivered new:

Honda Accord 2.3
Mazda Xedos
BMW 525TDS
BMW 525SE
BMW 530d
Mercedes C250TD
Rover 75 2l V6
Saab 900, Saab 95

None of the above had missing items. Most had a few 'extras'.

So I apologise if you think I'm being extreme, but if you advertise that a car comes with certain features, it should.

With the event of the web there is no excuse for being misleading.

Sounds like good news on the cup holders. Hopefully Saab will take the same approach with the Steering Wheel, MP3 port and armrests.

And I was told that we would get the cup holder fitted when they had it sorted...

The car we had a look at a while back had no front fancy cup holder, but did have this one in the rear:

I seemed to add two threads by accident..anyway I'm taking the longer titled one as the main one, and have fully updated that!

As for the drinks holders in the back, yep idea stolen from Rover 75 - nice touch and useful. Forgot to check if my rear armrest has the cubby...

As for the front ajustable armrest. Does this slide forward like my previous Facelifted 95?

Anyway, I still love the car, despite the frustrations...update on Monday!
