I have recently purchased a SAAB 900 which I am entirely happy with, except for the poor AM reception.

Occasionally I do like to listen to sport radio & the reception is so poor that is spoiling the driving experience.

Does anyone know how to improve the AM reception in a 96 model..?

is it just poor reception or is it electrical interference from devices on the engine (ie: is the interference changing with acceleration / operation of wipers etc) ?

John, it doesn't seem to be affected by electrical interference...just poor reception
