9-3 SE 2.2 TDI

My car is only 5 months old, with 10,500k on the clock. I have had to put oil in it twice now, as well as the dealer putting oil in for the 1st service (6k miles)

I don't see any leaks, or signs of it burning oil. Is this normal?

Yes your TiD will use a fair bit of oil for the first 10-12000 miles. Seems to be a feature of this engine. My 2001 Tid Se has 16000 miles and is getting better (and using less oil!) with each mile. Economy has improved from average 38.7 mpg first 5000 miles to 45.9 last 5000 and its a whole lot quicker too. just wish it was little quieter.

What oil would you recommend?
