I've just removed the outer gear knob and am left with the plastic part at the top of the lift up section.
I need to remove this before fitting my new gear knob (not a Saab one, but a universal one to fit all lift gearchanges) but cannot get this removed.
Has anyone had the same problem and how do I resolve it

If it's anything like the nylon bush that I had to remove on my '93 9000 CS, you will have to get your hacksaw out as the nylon piece is moulded onto the spline at the end of the gear lever. A messy job but I now have a nice walnut gear knob. Good luck.
