Can anyone share their experiences of Sensonics. I have a manual 1994 SE Turbo (and had deliberately avoided a Sensonic) but am now thinking of changing - mainly because my left leg is extreemly tired due to the stiff clutch of the 900. However I've heard stories of expensive repairs to Sensonic 'boxes. However I could always buy a warranty ....
Thanks in advance

Penport I've a MY97 900S Turbo Sensonic and have had no problems with the sensonic system to date. Even after checking the previous owners history with the dealership (and also finding that a Hirsh suspension fitted by a previous owner) there were no noted problems. There was one problem with the clutch but this turned out to be the slave cylinder. I did have the same reservations as you about but my local dealer (Astley, Yeovil) said they have not had many sensonic problems. I've also read somewhere that it is best to avoid the early examples with the system fitted (go for MY97 or later). That all said the car is a dream to drive but does take a little getting used to, especially reverse. A warranty does make sense, the Saab used warranty is excellent, they replaced the slave cylinder in my saab and even put in a new clutch plate without question (some other warranties would have claimed some sort of betterment).

Hope this helps a little.
