Good news for post 1973 V4 owners:
Extending small car scheme to include cars up to 1500cc
In the Chancellor's pre-budget statement in November [2000], he announced
proposals to further extend the small car scheme (with a £55 reduction in
VED) to cars with engine sizes up to 1500cc inclusive. The proposed date for
these changes is JULY 2001 but keepers will not lose out and will have their
rebate backdated to November 2000.

Graduated VED
Thinking of buying a Saab after March? VED will be charged according to
emissions - this scheme is known as "Graduated VED" and the DVLA have an
online VED Calculator at
